Who are the Strikers?

Our team here at Strikers Quidditch are passionate about what they do, whether that be coaching, playing, refereeing or a more behind-the-scenes role. Here, you can meet a few of the individuals behind Strikers.

Director and Head Coach: Jack Latoy

Jack Latoy

Jack is a professional sports coach and the Director and Head Coach at Strikers Quidditch. He was a founding member of the Portsmouth quidditch team in 2014 and has coached and captained the Portsmouth quidditch team since 2015. Jack has also played for and coached the regional Southeast Knights team for the Quidditch Premier League in summer 2017 after being one of 4 Portsmouth players selected for the team, who placed second in the country. Jack has also played for The Eastern Mermaids QPL team in 2018 and will be playing for Oxford based Mammoths QC throughout the 2018/19 season.

Jack graduated from his degree in Sport and Exercise Science in 2016, going on to establish Strikers Sports and Recreation in the same year.

Jaelithe Swan

Jaelithe is the Strikers first team Captain for the 2018/19 season. As the Strikers Marketing Manager, Jaelithe also helps promote Strikers Quidditch across Portsmouth. Jaelithe is one of 3 Portsmouth players selected for the 2018 Eastern Mermaids QPL team.

Jaelithe joined the team in 2016 and is now in the final year of her degree. She is also our first IQA qualified Snitch Referee.

Ellie “Luna” Marvin

Ellie, more affectionately known as Luna, has been with Strikers since their first year in 2014 and has attended all of our competitive fixtures. Luna regularly represents Portsmouth at a regional and national level, and is an Assistant Coach for the club.

Ellie graduated from her degree in Psychology at the University of Portsmouth in 2017, and has since been elected as the community representative for the Portsmouth team.

Our Teams

Our expanding teams are made up of new and old players, some of whom are in their 4th season with us. Strikers Quidditch originated with the Portsmouth Horntail Strikers team who played their first competitive match in 2015 and has expanded across the years to reach more people than ever. Get Involved
