Here, we offer you the opportunity to get to know our competitive teams.

Currently, Portsmouth has one QuidditchUK affiliated team, the Horntail Strikers, who have successfully qualified for the British Quidditch Cup every year since they began competing in 2015.

Strikers Quidditch hopes to open a 2nd team in the near future, as well as supplying a youth team for ages 11+. Keep up to date with the latest team and training developments by signing up to our blog, or register your interest in our youth team by contacting us here.

The Portsmouth Horntail Strikers

Portsmouth Horntail Strikers LogoAfter their competitive debut at Southern Cup 2015 the Portsmouth Horntail Strikers have gone from strength to strength, successfully qualifying for the British Quidditch Cup every year and recently placing 8th at Southern Cup 2017.

The Strikers concluded their first BQC last season with a magnificent 160*-20 victory against the Sheffield Squids, finishing 3rd in the lower bracket and placing 19th in the country.

The team has 4 players on the Southeast Knights regional team of the Quidditch Premier League, who finished second in the league. During the 2017-18 season the Strikers also joined the expanded Southwest League in the first division.

Our Players

Our Strikers come from all walks of life. Our members are aged 16+ and include people from as far as Estonia and the Philippines. Our members’ athletic abilities and sporting experience span across the spectrum, from regular gym goers to first time athletes. Strikers Quidditch is diverse, progressive and driven, dedicated to the success of our members both individually and as a part of our nationally competitive team.
